Hyderabad: Woman along with children attempts suicide at Husain Sagar due to ‘Talaq’ threat

Hyderabad: Panic prevailed at Tank Bund when a woman made an attempt to commit suicide along with her two children.

According to the details, her husband who is working in a Gulf country used to threaten her that he would pronounce ‘Talaq’. Her in-laws also used to allegedly harass her.

Vexed with this, she decided to commit suicide and went to Hussain Sagar along with her kids to commit suicide. She even tied the hands of her son and daughter and was about to jump into the lake. Luckily, she was rescued just before jumping.

As per the report of Ms. Dhana Lakshmi, Inspector of Lake Police, the woman was offered counseling by commissioning her in-laws.
