“The eyes are shedding tears and the heart is grieved, and we will not say except what pleases our Lord, O Ibrahim! Indeed, we are grieved by your separation” Prophet Mohammad said while burying his child Ibrahim.
Allah about hardship – “Allah does not charge a soul except with that within its capacity.” A true believer remains stoic in sufferings as well as delights and does not deviate from the path of righteousness, taking these tides as trials by Allah to test his belief. Indeed Allah designed this world enclosing with sufferings pains failures, illness and happiness, jubilations etc. as well not only as tests but also as means to get to know him and draw closer to him. This is evident from the lives of Prophets / Messengers / saints who had suffered a lot during whole of their journey from here to hereinafter.
“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” (51:56)
During odds we always seek refuse from Allah’s power to compensate for our weakness with his might providing sustenance. We always need to foster trust in his abilities by our firm belief in him, besides, a live connect between a creation and the creator which is the perfect mission of our existence. One should never deter or reject sufferings / pleasers as both of these are bestowed by God
Quran features numerous versions that term sufferings as the Almighty’s trials:
“Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.”( 39:10)
“Indeed, with hardship will be ease.”( 94:6)
“Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we will return. Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the
[rightly]guided.”(156-157)
