Dear Drake,
In light of recent events, I’d like to apologize and I’d like to thank you as well. After the whole controversy about telling Muslim women to take off their scarves, you did what any celebrity would do to address problems that put you in hot water… You turned to social media.
With that being said, I’d like to apologize for assuming things without context. I’m sorry for placing a “problematic” label on you without checking the receipts. Also, I’m sorry the media hasn’t been treating you well. It’s like the littlest things make the biggest headlines. All of a sudden the whole world is against you and it’s so confusing.
On a positive note, I’d like to thank you. Thank you for being aware of your Muslim fans. Thank you for taking your time and putting your thoughts in your Instagram post. Thank you for ending your shows with an important but positive note. Thank you for reminding us to learn and love one another. Thank you for being one of the reasons why I love myself and the people around me. Thank you for bringing people together.
