Aliah’s Arabic dept to co-host international virtual conference on critical analysis of literary texts

Kolkata: On the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, the Department of Arabic, Aliah University, is organizing a three-day international virtual conference on “Critical Analysis of Literary Texts” from 24 to 26 December 2020 in collaboration with the Journal Al-Mayadeen of Human Sciences Studies, Algeria, and The Faculty of Research for Interdisciplinary Studies of Postmodern Discourse from Critical to Environmental Culture, Qatar University.

The online 3-day international webinar will be hosted on the Zoom platform with the objectives of providing scientific knowledge of literary criticism to the researchers, as well as developing their skill of critical approach to various literary texts and to distinguish the critical and cognitive differences between contemporary critical approach and its multiple approaches to the texts.

“This international virtual conference intends to provide information regarding modern literary criticism like structuralism, deconstruction, semiology and cultural criticism for a better understanding of modern and post-modern narrative Arabic literature,” says Dr. Saidur Rahman, Head of the Department of Arabic, Aliah University.

Three sessions of one hour each will be held on each day where a number of highly-qualified professors, experts, and specialists, from different universities of the country and abroad would be speaking on a variety of themes including  Formative Structural Analysis, Narrative Component Analysis, Statistical Analysis of Literary Texts, Interpretive Semiotic Analysis, Child Literature Speech Analysis, etc.
