BJP raises objection for 4% reservations in local bodies

Hyderabad: BJP MLA, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy opposed 4% reservations for Muslims in local bodies. He said that it reduces the opportunities of the Hindus.

Mr. KCR replied in the Assembly that it is the decision of the previous Govt. He also said that he will convene a meeting of BCs in which the issue of reservations for these communities would be taken up.

Mr. Kishan Reddy told that 4% reservations have been provided to Muslims under BC-E category. In the GO, there is no mention of reservations in local bodies.

Mr. KCR assured that injustice will not be done to BC category. He also said that he is going to make major announcements for the welfare of BCs very soon.
