Congress will emerge as the largest party in Karnataka Elections: India Today survey report

Hyderabad: The survey conducted by ‘India Today’ revealed that Congress would emerge as the largest party in Karnataka Assembly Elections. It is estimated that it will win 90-101 Assembly Seats. BJP may get 78-86 seats. JD (S) is likely to get 34-43 seats. JD (S) may play the role of a kingmaker.

The survey also revealed that Mr. Siddaramaiah is the popular and favorite candidate for the post of CM of Karnataka. Congress is claiming to form government again.

In order to form the government in Karnataka, a party should get 113 seats. The survey revealed that no political party seems to cross this magic number.

Without seeking help from JD (S), no party will be able to form a government in the State. In the survey, Siddaramaiah got 33% votes whereas Yeddyurappa polled 26% and Kumara Swamy 21% votes.

38% of the people liked Congress Govt. It is quite likely that 52% of Lingayat votes may affect the polling process. If Muslim parties float their candidates, secular votes may get divided which would benefit BJP.
