New Delhi: Admissions to the entry-level classes in Delhi under theEeconomically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) categories for 2019-20 academic year will begin from Saturday December 15, 2018 with the Delhi government issuing guidelines for the process.
While those belonging to families with annual income less than Rs 1 lakh can seek admission under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category, the Disadvantaged Group (DG) category applicants include — SC, ST, OBC, non-creamy layer, physically challenged, orphan and transgender and all children living with or affected by HIV.
“Admissions of the EWS and DG category shall be made through computerised lottery system in the said schools against 25 per cent seats reserved,” said the notification released by the Directorate of Education (DoE).
The application process for the two categories will begin on December 15, 2018 and will conclude on January 07, 2019. The first list will be displayed on February 04, 2019 and subsequent lists will come out during the month, it said.

Admission process and availability of forms starts on: December 15, 2018
Last date to submit Application fFrms in schools: January 7, 2019
Uploading details of children who applied to the school for admission under Open Seats: January 21, 2019
Uploading marks (as per point system) of the children under open seats: January 28, 2019
Display of Nursery Admission First List and Waiting List along with marks): February 4, 2019
Resolution of queries of parents, if any by written/email/ verbal interaction: February 5 to 12, 2019
Display of the Second List and Waiting List along with marks allotted under point system: February 21, 2019
Resolution of queries of parents regarding allotment of points in the second list: February 22 to 28, 2019
Subsequent list of admission, if any: March 15, 2019
Closure of admission process: March 31, 2019
The DoE had earlier asked each participating school to upload the details of residential areas falling in its neighbourhood till December 14 and for the subsequent three days suggestions will be taken from schools regarding residential areas in the neighbourhood by a team set-up at the zonal-level for further streamlining of details.
