New Delhi, April 27 :When I came to know that my plasma can save life of other corona patients , I decided to donate my plasma without giving a second thought as it was the best opportunity to me to serve other human being and this is the basic teachings of Islam , Farooque Basha 42, told Muslim Mirror.

Apart from me three more persons from Jamaat donated plasma .We all are from Tamil Nadu , he added.

A day after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to all COVID-19 survivors to donate plasma for serious patients undergoing treatment for the disease, about 300 Tablighi Jamaat members who had recovered from COVID-19 came forward to offer plasma.

This came after Jamaat chief Maulana who was booked for culpable homicide after thousands of attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin tested positive for COVID-19, appealed to COVID-19 survivors from the Muslim community to donate blood plasma for the treatment of other patients.

“51 members of our group quarantined on 30th March in Sultanpur. Our first report was corona positive, and then second and third report were negative by the grace of Almighty. When we were briefed about plasma therapy by Dr Ambreen we decided to donate our plasma, said Basha.

I am more happy to know that my plasma can save the lives of three critical coronavirus patients, he added.
