Karnataka Elections: BJP reportedly hatches conspiracy to defeat Roshan Baig, Tanveer Sait

Hyderabad: The election scenario of Karnataka is gaining momentum. BJP and JD (S) have put all their full strength to keep Congress away from power. Through electronic and social media, an impression is being created that the future of Karnataka lies in a coalition government. The IT cells of both the parties are fully engaged in such campaigns.

There are reports that Janta Dal (S) might gain the status of a kingmaker. It may form a coalition government in collaboration with BJP.

The survey conducted by India Today and other media houses have bewildered BJP and JD (S). Surveys predicted that Congress will get lesser seats but will be able to form a government. BJP rejected the survey reports. It has allegedly commissioned the services of national channels to campaign in favour of the party.

It seems that there is a secret pact between BJP and JD (S) to target strong Muslim leaders of Congress. It is reported that a conspiracy is being hatched to defeat Roshan Baig and Tanveer Sait since they have worked hard to keep the Muslims with the Congress. There is a plan to float strong Muslim candidates against these ministers in order to keep them fully engaged in their own constituencies thereby stopping them from campaigning in other areas.

Although, JD (S) sought the support of TRS and MIM but the minority voters of Karnataka are not happy with this. They are of the opinion that there is no need for Telangana political parties to interfere into the politics of Karnataka since the political situations of both the States differ. The leaders of the other States cannot force Karnataka voters to support any political party in the State.

Despite MIM refraining from participating in electoral politics of Karnataka, some of its members are planning to file their nominations as independent candidates. It is evident that it is a strategy to divide secular votes.

In Gulbarga, Congress gave the ticket to the widow of the former Minister, Late Mr. Qamarul Islam. A Muslim leader announced his candidature from this constituency.

SP and BSP have refrained from participating in Karnataka Elections to keep BJP away from power. AAP has declared to contest in 40 Assembly constituencies.

Many social and voluntary organizations have started their efforts to stop the division of secular votes. Awareness programs are being organized in this context.

It may be mentioned that the last date of filing nominations for Karnataka Assembly Election is 24th April.

There are also reports that PM Modi, BJP President, Amit Shah and UP CM, Yogi Adityanath will be the star campaigners whereas TS CM, Mr. KCR and MIM President, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi may address a few election meetings in Karnataka.

It may be noted that due to the strong opposition from Muslim leaders, MIM was forced to refrain from floating its candidates in Karnataka elections.
