Jamia’s vice-chancellor Najma Akhtar said, “30 students from RCA were selected this time out of which 16 are Muslims and 14 are Hindus. She said the same in an interview with The Indian Express.

On an important note, around five percent Muslims have cleared the civil services examinations this year. Reports suggest India has seen the hightes representation of successful Muslims candidates in the past 28 years.

Jamia administration has written to the Ministry of Education demanding action over Chavhanke’s remakrs. Several bodies including the Indian Police Service Association have raised their concerns over the same.

The Delhi High Court on 28 August stayed the broadcast of Chavhanke’s show. Notably, in the video teaser he had announced to do a daily show over the same.

However, the Supreme Court denied issuing a pre-broadcast order concerning the alleged show.
