“God is the light of heavens and the earth,. The example of his light is like a niche within which is a pearly lamp, the lamp is within a glass, the glass as if it were a pearly star lit from a blessed olive tree , neither of east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light . God guides his light to whom he wills”.

The Holy Quran has some more verses which when looked deeply into can serve as allegorical and esoteric proofs of Sufi ideology’s connect .

“God is the outward and inward” (57:3)

“He for whom wisdom is given, he truly has received abundant good”( 2:269)

“It is not you who slew, it was God. When you threw a handfull of dust, it was not your act, but God’s (Anfal 8:17)

“He is with you, where-ever you are” (57:4)
